How to play
Four puzzles a day, each with its own guess limit and its own streak. All of them reset at midnight UTC.
The four modes
Reading the board
Classic and Vehicle mode lay each guess out as a row of columns compared against the answer.
- Teal. Exact match on that column.
- Amber. Partially right. Only appears on multi-value columns such as line of work, where your guess shares some values with the answer.
- Grey. No match.
- ▲ and ▼. On numeric columns such as trailer appearances or era, the answer is higher or lower than your guess.
Map mode
Map mode works differently. Each guess returns the distance to the target, a compass arrow pointing toward it, and a proximity percentage, and pins your guess on the map of Leonida. Distances use a stylised scale, so the relative gaps are what matter.
Streaks
Each mode keeps its own streak, stored in your browser. Playing a mode every day keeps its streak alive. Missing a day resets it. Rounds from the archive are practice and never affect a streak.

What is GTA6dle?
GTA6dle is a free daily browser game about Grand Theft Auto VI. Every day at 00:00 UTC a new puzzle appears in each of four modes, Classic, Map, Quote and Vehicle, and you solve it from the feedback each guess gives you. Classic is unlimited. Map, Quote and Vehicle cap your attempts.
Is GTA6dle finished?
No. GTA6dle is in beta. The game itself does not come out until November 19, 2026, so the character list, the map and the vehicle data are built from trailers and are provisional. Everything will be rebuilt with real data at launch, and puzzles will keep running throughout.
Is GTA6dle free?
Yes. GTA6dle is free and runs in any modern browser on desktop or mobile. You can play every mode without an account. Signing in is optional and only adds saves that carry between devices.
When does the puzzle reset?
All modes reset at midnight UTC. Your streak carries over as long as you play each mode at least once per day.
Is GTA6dle made by Rockstar Games?
No. GTA6dle is an unofficial fan project. Grand Theft Auto and all related marks belong to Rockstar Games and Take-Two Interactive.
Does GTA6dle contain spoilers?
Puzzles are built only from material Rockstar has published publicly. Trailers, screenshots and the official site. Nothing leaked or datamined is used.
How does Map mode work?
Map mode picks one place in the state of Leonida each day. After each guess you are told the distance to the target, the compass direction toward it, and how close you are as a percentage, and your guess is pinned on the map.
Can I play past puzzles?
Yes. The archive lists every puzzle since GTA6dle launched, and each one has its own page you can play at any time. Archive rounds do not affect your streak.
How do I share my result?
After a round ends, the share button copies a spoiler-free emoji grid of your guesses along with the puzzle number, the same way Wordle results are shared.
Where does the character and location data come from?
From Rockstar's own trailers, screenshots and website. Entries that have not been officially confirmed are labelled as unconfirmed and are never used as answers.
