GTA 6 trailers
Rockstar has released three things. Two trailers and, on 27 August 2026, twenty-seven minutes of gameplay. Almost everything anyone knows about GTA 6 comes from them.

There is no “Trailer 3”. What people mean by it is Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look, a 27-minute gameplay presentation that premiered on Netflix and went up on YouTube and Rockstar's own site the same evening. It is not a trailer, and treating it as one undersells it. It is the only time anyone outside Rockstar has watched the game being played.
What it showed is broken down system by system in the gameplay guide.
An Extended Look
August 27, 2026 · About 27 minutes
The first real gameplay. Twenty-seven minutes captured on a base PS5, premiered on Netflix and then released on YouTube and the official site the same evening. It turned GTA 6 from a game people had watched into a game people could explain.
What it established
- First extended gameplay. A tower-block shootout, a getaway with Lucia driving and Jason firing from the back, and a quiet evening at home
- Six-star wanted level returns, with police building a suspect profile from your face, clothes, weapons and vehicle
- The Criminal Profile, a persistent, context-sensitive record of how you operate
- The Jason and Lucia relationship as a buildable system with no gameplay bonus attached
- Car theft with security tiers, and the WAINK phone scanner
- Every store in Leonida robbable, with a speed-versus-profit choice at the safe
- The phone as a physical object, with different apps for each protagonist
- Diet, training and sleep visibly changing both characters
- Character switching mid-mission and mid-air
- Fourteen new songs, taking the confirmed total to twenty
Worth knowing
- Every frame was captured on a base PlayStation 5. Not a PC target, and not a bullshot.
- Rockstar stated directly that no generative AI was used in development.
- Rob Nelson of Rockstar North put his own playthrough of the story and narrative side content at around 80 hours.
- 1440p targeting 30fps on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
Trailer 2
May 6, 2025 · About 2 minutes
The state beyond the city. Trailer 2 widened the frame from Vice City to the whole of Leonida and introduced the supporting cast properly, each with a written profile on the official site.
What it established
- Leonida Keys, Grassrivers and inland Ambrosia shown properly for the first time
- Six named supporting characters given official profiles. Cal Hampton, Boobie Ike, Dre'Quan Priest, Real Dimez, Raul Bautista and Brian Heder
- More of Jason's life in the Keys before the story starts
- The couple framed explicitly as a Bonnie-and-Clyde pair

Trailer 1
December 4, 2023 · About 90 seconds
The reveal. Lucia walks out of a correctional facility and the rest is a tour of a modern Vice City, cut to Tom Petty. It set the tone and confirmed almost nothing mechanical.
What it established
- First look at Lucia Caminos and Jason Duval
- Vice City beachfront, causeway and downtown
- The supporting world introduced through social-media-style clips
- A 2025 release window, which did not hold
Music
- “Love Is a Long Road”Tom PettySource confidence: Confirmed
Worth knowing
- Released a day early after leaking, which is why the announcement and the trailer arrived together.
Every song from the official videos
Every song Rockstar has used in a Grand Theft Auto trailer has ended up in the game. That is a long-running pattern rather than a promise, and Rockstar has never said the promotional music is on the radio. It is still the closest thing to a soundtrack preview that exists.

Why there are no embeds here
Reuploads of these videos outrank the originals in search, and an embed pointing at the wrong upload is a broken page on the one page that ought to be right. The links above go to Rockstar's own video pages instead.
You can also watch all three on Rockstar's YouTube channel.
