When is GTA 6 coming out?
Grand Theft Auto VI releases on November 19, 2026, at midnight local time. Rockstar moved the date twice, first from a 2025 window to May 26, 2026, then to November 19, 2026. Take-Two has since said the current date is firm.
What platforms is GTA 6 releasing on?
PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Rockstar has not announced a PC version. No date, no system requirements and no store listing. Every recent Grand Theft Auto has eventually come to PC, but nothing has been announced for this one.
How much does GTA 6 cost?
The Standard Edition is $79.99 and the Ultimate Edition is $99.99. Those are the only two editions. There is no Special Edition and no physical Collector's Edition, which is a break from GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2.
What is in the GTA 6 Ultimate Edition?
The full game plus an exclusive collection of premium vehicles, weapons and apparel. Rockstar describes the items as threaded across Jason and Lucia's story rather than handed over at the start. Nothing in it has been shown to affect the story, completion or trophies.
What is the GTA 6 pre-order bonus?
The Vintage Vice City Pack, included with both editions if you buy before November 20, 2026, the day after launch. Rockstar describes it as benefits that flash back to when the neon burned brightest.
Does GTA 6 have online multiplayer?
Not at launch. GTA 6 ships as a single-player experience, which is the wording Rockstar has used on official store listings since pre-orders opened on June 25, 2026. No online mode has been announced, with no name and no date. GTA Online arrived two weeks after GTA V and Red Dead Online about a month after RDR2, but that is precedent, not an announcement.
Where is GTA 6 set?
In the fictional state of Leonida, Rockstar's version of Florida. Vice City, a modern take on Miami, is the central city. The story opens in the Leonida Keys at Jason's house.
Who are the GTA 6 protagonists?
Lucia Caminos and Jason Duval, both playable. Lucia is the first female protagonist in a modern mainline Grand Theft Auto, and the pair are presented as a Bonnie-and-Clyde-style criminal couple. You can switch between them freely, including mid-mission.
How big is the GTA 6 map?
Rockstar has never published a figure. Several incompatible numbers are in circulation from the same reveal. Around three times Red Dead Redemption 2's playable area, roughly twice GTA V, and about 70% bigger than GTA V from the 2022 leak map. Vice City alone is described as roughly twice the size of Los Santos. Treat any single number you see as an estimate.
What are the regions in GTA 6?
Rockstar has confirmed six. Vice City, Leonida Keys, Grassrivers, Port Gellhorn, Ambrosia and Mount Kalaga National Park. County and district names circulating beyond those come from community mapping rather than from Rockstar.
How long is GTA 6?
Rockstar has not given a figure. Rob Nelson of Rockstar North described his own playthrough of the story plus narrative side content at around 80 hours. That is one developer's route through the game, not a target length, and a completion run would be considerably longer.
Does GTA 6 have a six-star wanted level?
Yes. Six stars return, up from GTA V's five. The bigger change is that police now build a suspect profile from your face, clothing, weapons and vehicle. Stars appear hollow until you are identified, and changing any of those degrades the identification.
Are there cheats in GTA 6?
No cheat codes exist publicly. Rockstar has never published codes before a launch and has said nothing about GTA 6's. Cheats have shipped inside every mainline Grand Theft Auto, so they are expected, but every GTA 6 cheat list published before November 19 is invented.
Does GTA 6 have microtransactions?
Not in single-player. Rockstar stated this directly. There is no online mode at launch for them to appear in.
Does GTA 6 have a first-person mode?
Not at launch, beyond certain weapon sights. GTA 6 is a third-person game, unlike GTA V, which added a full first-person mode in its re-release.
Why was GTA 6 delayed?
Rockstar said the extra development time was needed to finish the game with the level of polish players expect. Take-Two has since said the November 19, 2026 date is firm, and the Extended Look in August 2026 confirmed it on screen.
